The B&D Industries, Inc. design-build team designed and constructed Building 758, a two-story Institutional General Plant Project office and conference room. The design provided additional workspace, a conference room and a computer room. With these changes, the overall square footage of the building increased to 19,288 sq. ft. In support of sustainable building practice initiatives, B&D also managed a Waste Management and Indoor Air Quality Plan.

B&D utilized its Incident Injury Free (IIF) and Pre-Task Planning programs on this project. Both of these programs are still in place within our culture. IIF was the pre-cursor to what is now being developed in partnership with SNL under its behavior-based safety (BBS) programs. This project was completed without recordable accidents or incidents by B&D employees.

SNL awarded B&D the 2005 President’s Quality Award for this project.
